Washington - (Reuters):

International Monetary Fund spokesman Jerry Rice said Thursday that downside risks continue to dominate the global economic outlook, and some countries are expected to slip into recession in 2023, but it is too early to determine the possibility of a large-scale global recession.

Rice told reporters that a large amount of data indicated a further loss of momentum in the third quarter, but he did not elaborate on any further revisions to the fund's outlook.

The International Monetary Fund cut its global growth forecast in July to 3.2 percent in 2022 and 2.9 percent in 2023.
