The German Association of Dermatologists has warned against bathing with very hot water, as it causes the skin to lose its moisturizing fats, leading to irritation and exposure to dryness and roughness.

To avoid this, the water should be set to a temperature that is not harmful to the skin, taking into account that the duration of the shower should not exceed 5 to 10 minutes.

The German Association said that the first step in proper skin care is to know its type and choose the appropriate care products for it. Because the needs of dry skin are different from the needs of oily skin.

The association added that using care products that are not appropriate for the skin type leads to irritation and it falling prey to pimples, crusts, redness and itching.

It is also important to use cleaning and care products that do not contain aromatic substances, preservatives or dyes.

A woman whose skin suffers from impurities can use a gentle exfoliating product to get rid of areas of keratinization, taking into account its use no more than twice a week, in order to prevent harm to the beneficial skin flora.

After cleaning the skin well, appropriate care products should be used. Dry skin needs a care product rich in fats in order to moisturize it, while oily skin needs a moisturizing care product with a light texture.

The association recommended consulting a doctor if skin irritation persists while suffering from severe itching, rash, or swelling, or if there are cracked, festering, or bleeding areas. These symptoms may then indicate stubborn eczema, fungi, or a skin disease such as  neurodermatitis.
